Spectator Ejected for Protest During Snooker Championship Final

During the World Snooker Championship final at the Crucible Theatre, a female spectator was ejected after jumping over a barrier and shouting in protest against the television licence fee. The incident occurred during the third frame of the match between Shaun Murphy and Wu Yize.

The woman, who entered the arena from the front row, was stopped by referee Rob Spencer before she could approach the table. She reportedly yelled, "Nobody pays their TV licence anyway, who pays their TV licence?" Security personnel quickly intervened and escorted her out of the venue.

This incident is part of a series of disruptions that have occurred during this year's World Championships in Sheffield. Earlier, a male spectator was removed during the semi-final match between Wu and Mark Allen after making a political statement regarding the Epstein files.
