Lyon worried about Remy Himbert injury
186 days agoUntil last night it was a memorable week for all the right reasons for Rémi Himbert (18). The Olympique Lyonnais academy product signed his first professional contract with his form club on Tuesday. The deal will run until the summer of 2028.
The Frenchman has shown more often in recent weeks a lack of depth in the forward position but also because when he arrived he was impressive ahead of Thursday night's UEFA Europa League tie with Celta Vigo (1 -1). Himbert has made 10 first team appearances this season, scoring 3 goals. (1 goal in Ligue 1, 1 goal in the UEFA Europa League, 1 goal and 1 goal in the Coupe de France)
He came off the bench in Spain again, but it took only a few seconds before he was on the ground holding his ankle. Pablo Duran fell on the striker's right ankle and was unable to walk. He was assisted by the OL's medical staff. He was substituted in the 67th minute, with Adam Karabek in the 70th minute.
Post-match, Paulo Fonseca showed concern regarding Himbert’s injury. “I was just with the doctor and Remi. We don’t think it’s good, but we will wait for the tests that he’ll have in Lyon,” said the Portuguese manager.
